Facilities Master Plan: Phase Two Update
We are excited to start Phase Two of the Facilities Master Plan!
The first priority of Phase Two is remodeling the church/school kitchen and cafeteria. A bid has been accepted and the following contractors have been selected for the project: Breitbach Construction (general contractor), Foster Mechanical (mechanical), and Elrosa Electric (electrical). Kitchen equipment will be ordered as soon as possible and stored for future use.
We hope to start renovations in April 2024. The plan is for the kitchen/cafeteria to be closed starting in mid-April. We are currently working on a plan to serve lunch for the remaining weeks of school with lunch being served in the gym.
Major work includes: the removal of the present floor in the kitchen, asbestos removal in floor material, removal of several walls with additional beams placed to carry the load, new electrical work and lighting throughout the kitchen and cafeteria, fire suppression, new dish washing room and pantry, new cooler, and new wall and floor finishes.
Several Capital Campaign meetings are scheduled through November. We encourage you to attend a meeting if you’re interested in learning more. And we humbly ask you to consider making a generous gift to support the Capital Campaign fundraising efforts. The proposed changes for Phase Two will increase functionality of our school and parish gathering spaces, ensure that safety regulations are being met and elevate the aesthetics to a modern design.
We thank you for your support of this project and for our parish and school community!
